 Performance with California Landscapes (2019)

4 minutes 21 seconds

In this video, Eiko performs within her video installation in a gallery at Alfred University. Three projections show composed sequences of different California landscapes shot in Death Valley and Sequoia National Park.  The videos were edited by Eiko during the residency at Alfred University in 2019. Each projection occupies an entire wall of this intimate gallery. Eiko "choreographed" sequences of three videos, considering the overall dynamic and the balances of images on adjacent walls. The three installation videos are each 17 min long with three screens looping at different points.

Shot in California as a part of creative residency at UCLA.
Camera: Alexis Moh assisted by Majorie Hunt
Eiko edited the videos during the residency at Alfred University with the help of Rebekkah Palov of IEA.
Choreography on site, of videos, and in gallery by Eiko, and performed by Eiko.
